Geospatial, GIS & Mapping in Africa

About SoMAP Earth Intelligence

SoMAP Earth Intelligence is a geospatial company founded to close the earth observation and mapping gap across the Horn and East Africa. Based in Somalia with offices in Garowe, Hargeisa, Mogadishu, and Nairobi, we deliver GIS, remote sensing, and spatial analytics to governments, NGOs, and development partners.

Our work spans drought monitoring, land degradation assessment, land cover mapping, flood risk analysis, drone surveys, GIS training, and custom web applications. We have delivered projects across Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia — turning satellite data and field intelligence into maps and dashboards that support real decisions on the ground.

We believe quality geospatial data should be accessible, actionable, and affordable.
